The Purim Gruffalo (TROFOTI)
Noam wanted to be Gruffalo (TROFOTI in the Hebrew translation) for Purim this year.
A mouse is taking a stroll through the deep, dark wood when along comes a hungry fox, then an owl, and then a snake. The mouse is good enough to eat but smart enough to know this, so he invents . . . the gruffalo! As Mouse explains, the gruffalo is a creature with terrible claws, and terrible tusks in its terrible jaws, and knobbly knees and turned-out toes, and a poisonous wart at the end of its nose. But Mouse has no worry to show. After all, there’s no such thing as a gruffalo. . . .It is one of the most wonderful children books with a very clever plot, definitely recommended for any child.
"... But who is this creature with terrible claws
And terrible teeth in his terrible jaws?
He has knobbly knees, and turned-out toes,
And a poisonous wart at the end of his nose.
His eyes are orange, his tongue is black,
He has purple prickles all over his back."
and here is the "real" thing:
The Gruffalo, a.k.a. TROFOTI (or is it TFOROTI?)
"A gruffalo! Why, didn't you know?
He has terrible tusks, and terrible claws,
And terrible teeth in his terrible jaws."
"He has knobbly knees, and turned-out toes,
And a poisonous wart at the end of his nose."
He has purple prickles all over his back."
If you don't know the Gruffalo, then here's the full story:
